Chad is the founder of The Intentional Father, a place created to encourage and equip dads to build purposeful relationships with their children by being present and intentional daily.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Chad grew up playing sports—primarily hockey and football—and spending countless hours alongside his dad in the garage and around the house. Whether they were fixing something, building something, or just figuring out how something worked, those experiences shaped his love for working with his hands and, more importantly, showed him the value of simply being there.

​

He got his first guitar in second grade and has been playing ever since. That love for music continued through college, where he studied Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University and became Crew Chief of the Formula SAE Racing Team. When he wasn't in the engineering lab or working on race cars, he was playing guitar in a local band and volunteering with organizations around campus.

After graduating, Chad began a career in the energy industry, where he continues to work as an engineer and leader. He has spent his career solving problems, developing products, and leading teams, having seven patents granted along the way. But he considers being a husband and father his most important role.

​

Chad married his wife, Jenna, in 2013. Together they have three boys, and becoming a father changed the way he looked at just about everything. In the middle of the busyness of work, projects, sports, and everyday life, he began to realize how easy it is to be physically present with your kids without actually being present.

​

That realization eventually led to The Intentional Father.

​

The goal is simple: to help dads slow down, put the phone down, look their kids in the eyes, and make the most of the ordinary moments that make up fatherhood. Because our kids won't remember every project we finished, every email we answered, or every thing we bought them, but they will remember that we were there.

​

Chad and his family live in Bluff Dale, Texas, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and boys, working on projects, playing guitar, and finding new ways to make memories together.
